Message	need to bleed it. Shifter bushing replacement doesn't impact clutch engagement. They do help to reduce shifter "slop" if the old ones are badly worn or have totally disintegrated. However - a better fix for sloppy shifting is a revised design of the shifter bracket --- that is sold in classifieds.
